Gerald is a prison chaplain. His dedication and service in the prison system has earned him a solid reputation. I have preached in prison, and whenever I mention his name the inmated know and respect him. When I went through the formal orientation to be allowed to preach in prison, the presenter said that few men achieve the status of "legend" in prison, but he said Gerald was one of them. I am sure Gerald would downplay all of this, but he is doing some awesome work.

 

Through his gentle love of Christ, God uses Gerald to change the lives of these men. Up in Palmer Gerald has worked with the faith based treatment program for inmates, transitional living. This is a living environment were these men learn about accountability before God and each other. They learn what it means to live according to Godly principle instead of the principle that led them to incarceration.
